Rooted in the way you live, designed for the life you'll build

Every home begins with understanding the people who will live there. Their routines, traditions, priorities, and the moments they hope to create become the foundation of everything that follows.

At Loblolly Designs, we believe a home should feel like it belongsβ€”to the people who live there, to the land it rests on, and to the life unfolding within its walls. Through a collaborative process rooted in listening, thoughtful planning, and intentional decision-making, we guide each project with care, creating a cohesive vision that reflects the people it was designed for.

Thoughtful design should make life feel effortless. Every room, every detail, and every decision should serve a purpose, creating a home with lasting characterβ€”one that feels natural, functional, deeply personal, and welcoming for years to come.

Lindsay Wright

Owner | Designer

Born and raised in North Carolina, Lindsay discovered her passion for residential design and construction early on. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Appalachian State University before beginning a career that has spanned more than a decade in high-end residential design and construction.

With over twelve years of experience, Lindsay has developed a streamlined approach that simplifies the entire design-build process. Her expertise in plan drafting, interior architecture, home selections, and project management allows her to anticipate each step of a project β€” creating designs that are intentional, efficient, and uniquely tailored to her clients.

Lindsay believes that every great home begins with understanding. By taking the time to learn how clients live, what inspires them, and the details that define their lifestyle, she’s able to create spaces that are cohesive, meaningful, and enduring. Working closely with builders and trades, she ensures each project is both beautifully designed and thoughtfully built β€” homes that enhance daily life and stand the test of time.

During her free time, Lindsay loves camping with her husband and their dog, Gretchen, in the 1971 Nomad travel trailer they recently restored. She also enjoys exploring small towns, axe throwing, and dirt track racing.

The Meaning of Loblolly

Lindsay has always admired her father’s entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic. To honor his legacy, she named her business after the loblolly pine tree β€” known for its strength, grace, and deep southern roots.

The name not only pays tribute to his successful career owning a trucking company that distributed pine needles, but also reflects Lindsay’s own values of hard work, integrity, and genuine service. It’s a reminder that meaningful work grows from strong roots β€” and that every project begins with purpose and care.

Every home we design tells a story β€” of the people who live there, the land it’s built on, and the details that make it uniquely theirs
